Isleworth & Syon School provides an outstanding education for all students. Indeed, our mantra is “outstanding in every respect”, reflecting a commitment to creating an environment where young people can thrive. We are proud to welcome students from all cultures and backgrounds and offer hands-on teaching tailored for boys. We know that our students flourish across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
As Co-Headteachers, we believe that learning should not just be to earn formal qualifications. Indeed, students’ journey
through our school will see them grow as individuals into mature, considerate, confident and successful young adults. Academically, students show great progress at our school, whether that is through our strong STEM focus, outstanding arts offer or superb sports provision. Our ‘learners as leaders’ philosophy allows students to grow inside and outside of the classroom.
Alongside our strong academic record, we are proud of the outstanding opportunities offered to our students. The breadth and range of this offer is truly impressive and seeks to go against stereotypes of boys’ schools. Our attractive and modern school environment allows for a varied programme, while students are encouraged to ‘buy in’ to the weekly clubs as well as local, national and even international trips and visits.
The school has a long and distinguished history, with our 400-year anniversary approaching in 2030. We are proud of our traditional values, where smart appearance is required and students are expected to be ready, respectful and safe at all times. Our pastoral system is compassionate, and Isleworth & Syon is a happy place to be. Our students enjoy being here.
All of these factors contribute to creating a school where students are happy, are rewarded for their hard work, and are highly motivated. This helps them strive to achieve their ambitions and realise their potential. We pride ourselves on the high retention of expert staff who believe in the school ethos and provide such a wonderful place for students to learn and staff to work. We celebrate all who become Isleworthians and have many long-established links with the school. We ensure that being an Isleworthian means something to those who form our community.

I would recommend this school as in this day and age there needs to be a balance between traditional learning and new styles of learning which help the development of young people, and I believe that this school has a good balance.
