Drama Alumni Visit
In November, we welcomed former students George Buftea and Anthony Di Falco into school for a very special visit. Both left the school in the last few years to study drama undergraduate degrees at St Mary's University, Twickenham. They wanted to come back and interview Mr McDonnell and Miss Thomson about their experiences as drama teachers; this will then inform an applied theatre show they are creating about drama in the school system.
While many schools are struggling to maintain the performing arts, it is a real point of pride we continue to see our students flourish as performers, technicians, directors and rounded individuals. It was lovely to see them clearly thriving and happy in their studies, it was especially touching to hear how fondly they remember the school and, in particular the drama department. They have promised to keep us posted about all future projects that we can go and see!
It was brilliant to see our former students with a genuine affection for the school, seeking to stay in touch. We want to do even more for our alumni - in the next few weeks, look out for a very special school announcement on that very topic...
