This November, we once again decided to support the Movember Foundation and Prostate Cancer UK, as we know how important it is to use the platform of Movember to raise awareness of male-related health issues amongst our mainly male cohort.
Find out more information below.
Prostate Cancer UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1005541) and in Scotland (SC039332). Registered company 02653887
We did the following:
- Raised awareness of men’s health amongst the school community; this happened through PSHE sessions and assemblies.
- PSHE sessions during Study Support on Tuesdays during November were based on men’s health (physical & mental) – these presentations were designed by our Youth Health Champions.
- Some male members of staff and Sixth Form students took part in the ‘Grow a Mo’ Challenge.
- Reading & Literacy and Sport & Extracurricular Ambassadors gave presentations linked to men’s health and their role during a Study Support session.
We did not ask for donations given the economic climate, but if parents/carers wish to donate, they can still do so on the official Movember website.
