Phoenix Offiah, Tottenham Hotspur Academy Footballer

We have been thrilled to follow the success of Year 11 student Phoenix Offiah as he dreams of a career as a professional footballer. Phoenix has been part of the Tottenham Hotspur academy for the last 18 months, and this summer his hard work and talent has earned him an under-18 scholar contract.

A very talented forward, Phoenix was a key part of Tottenham’s under-16 side which won the Premier League Cup in May! Phoenix scored the first goal in a 5-3 win as well as getting an additional assist. It capped off a wonderful season for him at under-16 level, which he juggled along with his full-time GCSE studies.

Phoenix’s journey began at just 10 years old, with his raw talent seeing him scouted by 10 clubs, including QPR and Fulham. He opted for QPR, although the journey was not always smooth. However, Phoenix showed great resilience - rather than giving him, he went away and continued building his skills, including playing a central role in our school football teams. Now, he is reaping the rewards, looking forward to being part of the under-18 squad full-time next season, a huge step in his career.
