National Careers Week - Pixar Webinar

During National Careers Week, we were delighted to take part in a special opportunity, as 22 Year 9 students joined a live webinar with Pixar Animation Studios' leading film producer, Nicole Paradis Grindle. Pixar is responsible for many of the top animated films of all time, including 'Toy Story', 'Finding Nemo', 'The Incredibles', 'Ratatouille' and 'Cars'. This live webinar was connected to the upcoming release of their new film, 'Hoppers'.

During the webinar, Nicole spoke about her career journey in film and TV, explaining what it takes to be a producer. Students were fascinated to learn just how much goes in to making some of their favourite films. The boys were also able to see sneak preview footage and "rushes" (unfinished scenes) from 'Hoppers', as well as ask questions and receive responses in real time. This was a fantastic opportunity for Year 9 as they select their Key Stage 4 options, as well as giving them a brilliant insight into career pathways within the film and television industry.
