Parmvir, Harpreet and Ollie celebrate today!

13 August 2026, Isleworth – Isleworth & Syon School is celebrating the achievements of its Year 13 students today as they receive their Level 3 results. Students are celebrating a broader range of next steps than ever before, with pathways including university, apprenticeships, or further training.

The school’s mixed Sixth Form continues to grow, with all students welcome as long as they buy into a culture of aiming high and working hard. Isleworth & Syon’s outstanding staff team drives all students to take responsibility for their own learning. This unlocks students’ potential and prepares them for the wider world. The Sixth Form combines high academic expectations with personalised support and an extensive programme of enrichment, leadership and careers opportunities.

This year's results demonstrate the ambition and commitment of students across a wide range of pathways. Throughout this Year 13 group, you will find individual stories of ambition, perseverance and achievement.

Top academic performances led to a string of A*s and As. This included Harpreet Malhotra, who is excited to start a computer science degree at the famous King’s College London. He has big aspirations of exploring how artificial intelligence can be used to treat and ultimately cure cancers. Parmvir Gill is also enrolling with a Russell Group university, studying mechanical engineering at Warwick. Parmvir was one of a large group of Year 13s who took part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award while at school, which also included Ollie Gilmour. He earned fantastic results today including in PE – no surprise for a former school cricket and rugby captain! He is excited for his next chapter studying physiotherapy at Liverpool. The A level maths class was filled with outstanding stories, like Amine Tagnit Hammou continuing his mathematical studies at University of Nottingham. The course has also led to a range of other pathways, including Nils Golubevs heading to University College London. He is aiming to use a history, politics and economics degree to pursue a fascinating career in diplomacy.

Results at vocational level were particularly strong, especially in IT and applied science. These popular courses have led to a huge array of exciting next steps, including Muhammad Basnukaev. His outstanding grades are leading him to pursue an apprenticeship in IT, which will give him real-world experience to build on what he has learned in his Sixth Form course. Jahsiah Germain is another student who has grabbed the vocational opportunity with both hands as part of an extremely successful music cohort. Jahsiah is aiming for a career in the music industry via a music production undergraduate degree at the University of West London. It was also fantastic to see so many students exploring blended pathways in the Sixth Form, with excellent results showing how this model is helping students reach their potential.

The exciting destinations above are just part of the story. Many students leave Isleworth & Syon for degree apprenticeships, the world of work or further education – reflecting the school’s commitment to ensure that every student is personally supported to find the pathway that fits them. We cannot wait to watch this cohort make their mark as the next generation of innovators, athletes, engineers, doctors, artists and academics. We know that they have been inspired and shaped by their Isleworth & Syon journey.

Co-Headteachers Simon Fisher and Jo Higginbottom commented,

"Results Day is always an important moment for our school community and we are extremely proud of what this cohort has achieved.

"Behind every grade is an enormous amount of hard work, determination and personal growth. Today is about celebrating each of our students and the exciting opportunities that now lie ahead of them. We are grateful to our staff and families for everything they have done to support our young people throughout their Isleworth & Syon journey."

Darren West, Head of Sixth Form, added:

“It has been a privilege to see this group develop throughout their time in the Sixth Form. Today, we are celebrating not simply their results, but the different paths they are now ready to take. From university and apprenticeships to employment and gap years, every student's next step is personal to them. We are proud of what they have achieved and look forward to seeing where their journeys take them.”

The class of 2026 can now join the school’s fast-growing Alumni Network. This means that they can stay connected and stay Isleworthian – inspiring the next generation of students as the school approaches its 400-year anniversary.
