Future Frontiers (September 2025)

During last academic year, 15 selected Year 10s were lucky enough to take part in a coaching programme called Future Frontiers. Over four consecutive weeks, students travelled to Whitechapel to work with a coach from Dormer Engineering. Students received one-to-one coaching on their future work plans, which was a fantastic way to get students really thinking about their next steps after education. The programme ended on an individual meeting with someone from their selected professional industry - a unique opportunity for students to ask questions and learn more about accessing their preferred industry. Many of these students went on to have very successful Work Experience placements in July, showing the positive results from this programme.

Now in Year 11, the students completed the programme this week with a final workshop. This two-hour, in-school session saw students given further support and guidance regarding their next steps. This included potential education and training paths following their GCSEs. The sessions echoed our regular school message that careers consist of "pathways, not corridors" - meaning that there are many different ways to success. The boys conducted themselves superbly during the programme and were a credit to themselves and the school.
