14 August 2025, Isleworth – Isleworth & Syon School is delighted to announce another year of exceptional Level 3 results. This year, our Sixth Form students have demonstrated what unwavering commitment, resilience and ambition can accomplish with the support of an outstanding team of staff. As a boys’ only school with a thriving mixed Sixth Form, Isleworth & Syon fosters a culture where every student is encouraged to aim high, work hard, and take responsibility for their learning. This year’s results once again demonstrate that with the right support and a dedication to our values, every student can achieve their full potential.

Our top performer was Blake Lawrence, whose outstanding performance of straight A*s has landed him a place to read law at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. Several of Blake’s classmates have joined him in reading law at successful universities across the country, including Frankie Macis at Birmingham and Daniel Kammerling at Exeter. A huge congratulations to Aayan Ahmed, whose three As and a B have led him to continue Isleworth & Syon’s rich tradition of medicine through an undergraduate degree at Leicester. His science cohort have headed in a range of different directions after successful Sixth Form courses at I&S – for example, Ethan Nunes will read global design engineering at TEDI (The Engineering and Design Institute) while Jonah Shaw will use his physics plus maths A levels to read data science at Bristol. The latter follows in the footsteps of former Isleworthian Mikaeel Shah, who represented the UK in a maths competition before heading to Cambridge. Not all students are making decisions straight away – take Hafidh Abdalla, who earned two A*s and an A but is taking a year out to volunteer before exploring a civil engineering pathway, likely a degree apprenticeship.

Results at vocational level were a cause for celebration once again, showcasing how the school’s focus on provided multiple learning routes enables students to succeed. Nathan Soares is a fantastic example, earning two Distinction*s and a Distinction on his way to a cyber-security degree at Kingston. Meanwhile, Rafiul Islam had great success in his vocational business course and will put those skills to good use on a marketing degree. Many I&S Sixth Formers also explored a blended pathway in the Sixth Form, taking a mix of Advanced level and vocational courses. There were great achievements here, included David Adigun and Awwab Kottarath, who are heading off to degrees in accounting and finance, and computer science respectively.

This Year 13 have been supported on to a huge range of different opportunities, including world-famous universities as well as highly competitive internships and training opportunities. Our alumni, a very proud group of Old Isleworthians, are ready to make their mark as future leaders, innovators, athletes, doctors, engineers, diplomats, artists and academics – with each one inspired and shaped by the outstanding opportunities and unique experiences at Isleworth & Syon.

Co-Headteachers Simon Fisher and Jo Higginbottom commented: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements this year. Their results are a testament to their hard work, the dedication of our staff, and the strong partnership we share with families. At Isleworth & Syon we believe every student has the right to an outstanding education; one that challenges them, supports them, and inspires them to achieve beyond their expectations.”

As we celebrate these impressive achievements, Isleworth & Syon School reaffirms its commitment to providing an outstanding education for every individual in our community. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to flourish and to shape their own future, whatever path they choose.
