17 June 2026

Dear Parent/Carer,

Year 11 End of Year and Results Day 2026

We are sure you are delighted that the examination period has come to an end. We are very pleased that students have managed to maintain both their focus and good conduct throughout the examination period. We hope that your son/ward can enjoy a well-deserved break now the examinations are over.

Capturing Parent/Carer Feedback

Thank you for entrusting your son/ward to us for five years (for most of the students). Please complete this simple survey to capture any highlights and thanks to individual teachers and/or subject areas. We will pass on any personalised messages.

Level 2 Results Day, Thursday 20 August - Arrangements

Results day for Level 2 qualifications (GCSE and BTEC) is Thursday 20 August

Results will be issued to students in groups with timeslots being scheduled so that we can manage the process as efficiently as possible. The timeslots are only 10 minutes apart, so your son/ward will need to ensure that he is outside the school reception at the allocated time below.

Your son/ward’s timeslot is included in the email version of this letter.

He cannot pick up results at a different time and anyone arriving early will need to wait for their collection slot. Any results not collected by 1.00pm on 21 August will be sent home by first class post.

If a student is unable to attend in person, they must nominate an adult to collect them by emailing exams@isleworthsyon.org from their school email account only. This nominated adult must bring a proof of photographic identity on the day. Please note that we cannot provide results by email or over the phone.

Sixth Form Enrolment

For students with a place in our Sixth Form, enrolment will take place on Results Day, where we will check any transition materials and provide all necessary details about the start of term. It is vital that students attend in person so that we can go through everything needed to ensure they are ready for September.

School staff and our careers guidance officer will also be available to assist with queries about post-16 education as well as to offer support if there are any issues or concerns.

Post-Results Services

Examination boards offer post-results services. These include seeing your son/ward’s examination script or requesting a review of results for their examination(s) if, for example, their marks are close to a higher grade boundary. There are fees associated with these services which are payable by students. Details will be on the back of the results sheet on Results Day.

Examination Certificates

These will arrive in school during November. Schools are advised not to post certificates home as they are important documents. Students must, therefore, collect their certificates from school in person by the end of January 2027. We will inform students by email when the certificates have arrived at school.

Schools have the right to destroy uncollected certificates which means you would have to order and pay for replacements direct from the examination boards. The current charge is approximately £60.00 per certificate.

‘New To You’ – Uniform, Kit, and Resource Donations

This initiative continues to support our efforts to recycle, to prevent waste and to be able to provide a service where donations of uniform, kit and other resources can be made so that not every purchase from the school shop needs to be of brand-new items.

We will accept all items of school uniform (blazers, shirts, trousers, ties and jumpers) and sports kit (school games and house tops, school shorts, red football socks). We will also accept school shoes, football boots and trainers which your son/ward may have outgrown, and revision books as well as any textbooks that may be worth passing on to another student.

Please consider donating items by dropping them in to reception or bringing them in on Results Day. If you do so, please ensure that:

  • The items are in at least reasonable condition.
  • The items have been washed.
  • The items are bagged.

Thank you in advance for your support. We very much look forward to seeing you on Results Day. In the meantime, very best wishes for the summer.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Fisher and Jo Higginbottom
