Congratulations to our top set Year 11 mathematicians who received their final GCSE grades this week. The group of 32 students took the last module examination before Christmas and they attained 14 A*, 11 A and 7 B grades, comfortably surpassing their projected targets of 5 A*, 19 A and 8 Bs.
Head of mathematics, Mr Stoddart, was delighted with the outcomes. “I have really enjoyed teaching these students and their successes are a result of inherent intelligence and a great deal of hard work. Well done to them all.”
The students will now use their maths lessons to embark on a short course in preparation for further study at Advanced Level.
